A new journey, a 180-degree shift to career. But still, I’m happy because it’s adventurous. I was a pre-medical student till 2020. And out of nowhere, due to certain circumstances, I had to choose Software Engineering as a career.
I started my programming and computer classes in 2020 with the Qubit by Qubit Scholarship course, named Introduction to Quantum Computation. There were awesome MIT instructors including Amir Karamlau, who not only taught us the fundamentals of Quantum Computation but also the essence of the whole road map of this field.
I got merit-based admission to COMSATS University Islamabad, one of the top-ranked universities in the IT field in Pakistan.
In the First semester we studied the following courses :
- ECA(Electric Circuit Analysis)
- Introduction to Computer Programming and ICT
- English Pre Reading Skills
- Islamiat
- Algebra
- Calculus
I made a self-thought semester Project, based on encryption and decryption in Python, using base64 and ciphertext, garnished the code in a little bit tricky way, and here it is :

My First Semester break:
I thought it wasn’t enough to study coding in a typical way, learning basics and not studying and implementing pro projects. So I took some courses in Machine Learning and Data Science from udemy, Coursera, and started making projects and notes as well. Furthermore, for the study of algorithms implemented there, I was polishing my mathematics and DSA skills . I learned the core concepts of Digital Electronics and Discrete Mathematics in advance, though these are the courses of my 2nd Semester,I prefer to study earlier so that at the time of lectures and classes I can ask deep further concepts from the instructor
Self-learning in summer break :
I self-studied DSA, C programming, and Basics of Quantum Computation, Physics(1-68)chapters, and Quantum mechanics.
Learning resources during this time period :
Neso academy C programming and Data Structures, Discrete Mathematics from this channel, and Digital Electronics as well.
Michael Van beizen: Mathematics(Basics to advanced, Calculus, linear algebra) and Physics
My Github and coding practices (I just posted a few on GitHub, others are in my Jupiter notebook and Pycharm IDE
